Connecting printer with airport extreme and time capsule

Hey all, this is basically what I'm trying do do:

I have an airport extreme connected to my router in one part of my house (Hallway). To this I have wirelessly connected my time capsule and used it as a range extender (Office). I have an HP L7590 printer in the office I would like to connect to my network. This printer has wired networking capability, so I thought I could just connect it to my time capsule and that would be it.

Can anyone confirm if this is true, or if it has to be connected to my base station for it to work? The reason I don't want to use the USB feature is because my understanding is that I would lose many of the additional features (scan, email, etc.).

Thanks!
