Lexmark inkjet forgets about black cartridge in 10.1.1
I just bought a Lexmark Z22, and the 17G0050 high resolution black cartridge (which, incidentally, cost about as much as the whole printer!)
Anyway, the black cartridge works only if i manually set the printer to 'Print Color images as Black and White' each time i print. Otherwise, the printer ignores the black cartridge and prints black text with the color cartridge (mixing yellow, cyan, and magenta), which is slow, looks bad, and wastes ink.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Is it a known bug with the Lexmark drivers? BTW - i am using drivers i downloaded from Lexmark.. i don't know if OS 10.1 has better Lexmark drivers, but i assume the ones from the Lexmark site are the most up to date.
