This isn't really a tech question but I'll throw it out anyway...

Within the next year I need to get myself an iBook for college. However, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford it. Does anyone have suggestions on getting an iBook, but cheaper? Is getting a refurb model ok, or buying one off eBay? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could enroll as a 7th or 8th grader in a school in Maine.

I got a good price on my Cube on ebay, so that's a good bet. If you can get a refurb under warrentee that's a good bet too.

The white iBook should be in it's 3rd generation by September so you should be able to pick up a 1st generation one for cheaper. Still a great machine, just won't be as fast or have all the optical drive options...

It would seem that buying used would be the way. Can't ya save money? Then get a loan for the rest. With new iBooks out it would seem that a lot would be up for sale.
