Vibrating Mac

Something inside my Mac is vibrating and driving me crazy. I can't figure out what's causing it. It doesn't seem to be the fan, any of the drives, or anything really. It doesn't always do it and if I power down and restart it will sometimes go away. Oh, it's a G4 450 tower.

Thanks

You sure it's not an iMac?

How did you eliminate the drive and the fans? They are the only moving parts. What else could possibly be vibrating?

My guess is that you've got <a href="http://www.sleeplessknights.com/Pages/itheater.html"; target="_blank">one of these</a> in your system that may be causing the symptoms you described.

Does it do it when you've got a CD in it? I've noticed some G4s around here that do that when they spin up a CD.

seb is right about the CD-ROM, though. I can sometimes hear a slight buzz from my tower when CD's aren't spinning at full speed.
