Installing OS X on a new hard Drive
Hi folks,
My IBM Deskstar drive has started a slow process of decline, so I ordered a new HD for my G4/500 Sawtooth. The question is, how do I best install os X and import my preferences/applications, etc from an old OSX system (on a third unaffected drive) onto the new one? I can not simply copy the OS X folders, correct?
Also, any suggestions as to how best to partition the thing or on which volumes I should put things would be appreciated.
My system as it stands is this:
Factory-installed drive: OS X, os 9.2, OS X apps, Os X doc's
DeskStar (to be removed): OS 9.1, Classic apps.
Hopefully, new settings:
NEW DRIVE: OS X, 9.2, ALL app's, all doc's
Factory drive: (9.1), Backup docs, Mission critical classic app's.
Does this sound right?
I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to be a royal pain, and would appreciate any suggestions as to the best way to do it.

P.s. any suggestions as to the settings on the drives would be helpful as well: i.e. the slave/master settings. I think the old drive is set to slave.
