iBook heat shield screws too tight

I am installing some ram on a friends iceBook but I have already damaged two screwdrivers (not the liquid type) because the screws are too tight.

Have anyone else experienced this? Is this a Steve-feature or something I can return the computer for Apple to fix if I doesn´t succeed? It might seem trivial but its really a problem. And no: It isn´t because I am geek-weak. It has bended two high class screwdrivers

Same exact thing happened to me, also broke two screwdrivers. I finally did manage to get the thing off. You've got to have a lot of patience unfortunately. Just keep trying very carefully as to not damage the screws. You just gotta wonder if there's some magical screwdriver Apple uses for this or something.

    Same here.

I put my fingers around the screw and pressed down hard on the shield to try and alleviate some of the pressure on the screws, and that seemed to help.

    That, and patience...
