Mac OS X Lost Feature?

Hey everyone.

I was just trying to encrypt one of my files today. Totally just dawned on me that it's nowhere to be found in Mac OS X. Or at least it's nowhere to be found for me. Do you guys know if they ditched it in the new OS?

Thanks for the help!

you're right. it's not there. neither are a ton of other OS 9 "features" we have grown to know and love.

Hopefully reimplementing these into OS X will be the basis of the 10.2 update scheduled for this spring

I figured that out right off when I tried to decrypt one of my files. How long before Apple drops support for this feature?

You can use DiskCopy to encrypt a disk image. Almost the same.
