how to convert an .asf?

Is there a utility to convert an .asf to anything usable with itunes, .mp3 or something?

    Last I checked, .asf was a movie format, not a sound format. QuickTime claims to be able to play them, but I've only had success by playing them with WiMP running under VirtualPC.
