Mouse and clock prob

for some reason my mouse keeps making the double-click event, when I only single click. I have no idea what could be causing the problem, it is really starting to get annoying. Also, my clock in the menubar seems to be using military time. But, when I click and hold down on the time to see the menu for it, it displays the time as normal. These are two very odd probs.



I'm running a dual800,1gig ram, X.1.2

    found some more insight into the the mouse prob:

    The problem only seems to be with my Macally iOptinet mouse. This problem does not occur when my apple mouse is hooked up. There are no real drivers for the ioptinet, except for a beta from them, which doesn't solve my prob. This problem only started to occur a few days ago, but I can't remember if I d/led anything at that specific time.

    How long have you had the mouse in question? It could be that the inner mouse parts (for lack of better terminology) stick ever-so-slightly, causing it to register a double-click on what you perceive as a single.



    Kind of like when the 'alt' key sticks on my IBM PC.
