Does desktop CD burning create a new format?
When I burn a CD from the desktop (OS X w/superdrive in my case) it gives me just three options. One is HFS/ISO. Is this a new format of some sort? I recall when I used Toast 3 you could write ISO 9660, HF+ or a hybrid format. In the hybrid format you actually created two volumes on the disk; one visible to DOS and one visible to the Mac (if I understood that right). The new format seems to create one volume which when viewed on a PC shows PC type icons but when viewed on a Mac shows normal folders and custom icons and such. I have no problem with this, just looking to learn more.
