accessing windows formatted firewire drive

i just purchased a new Mac g4. i have an external firewire drive which is formatted under windows FAT32.

if i plug this drive into my Mac will it be recognized and can i access the files on that drive ?

    not certain, but i think macs can read most any file-system. worst-case scenario, you plug it in, startup and get a msg, "it appears u inserted an unformatted disk. format?" if that, then say NO, and find some other way of transferring your files. once u get all the importants off it and somewhere safe (another drive), then format that drive and pop it into your beautiful Macintosh.
