Face Time?? Hmm

Inwas reading as far as speed goes, the USA went from #3 5 years ago to #28 today. That stinks. Some counties have like 10-50 MB per seconds or how they would market it to is here for those that don't understand MBps bs Mbps, as 500Mbps, which is fast but many see 300 Mbps and think 3 Meg when it's 300k prt second.

Anyway, FaceTime, with the exception of driving won't be cool until you can video chat via 4G and have the camera in all the pixels, something Apple has put a patent on but is still NOT to market. Even the commercials are a fraud. When you watch them, they show the people looking around everywhere yet when they show the phone both end users are looking straight into the camera, making it very hard to see the other person.

Ideas? Thoughts on what can be done to have camera holes in at least 5-7 spots and have it use smart technology to choose the right camera? Will Apple succeed in getting the pixels as micro lens? What about Non wifi, how long before we can chat using 4G, then 5G? What about satellite phones, how long before those are main stream. No more dropped calls?

Thanks.

Peace and Blessings.

Regarding broadband especially mobile wireless, may I repeat my suggestion. The USA must give all major carriers access to the same global-standard carrier spectrum. This will reduce costs and improve economies of scale. While AT&T, Verizon and Sprint "duke it out" and squeeze customers more, the rest of the world will roll out better networks, also because of lower regulatory hurdles. Verizon's investments in CDMA and CDMA phones now have little to no application outside the US. That's gotta be some major disadvantage if they're looking for growth.

As for FaceTime, if you have a 2MP camera, you can do gyro stabilisation and face detection to zoom in, track faces/people speaking and correct distortions... making the best video calls out of existing camera technology. No doubt patents for this are or have already been filed.
