They can't even get their iPhone app to work right so I don't have very high hopes for this. There is always some issue on the iPhone app. Currently, it is that you'll get an update notification and pull up facebook and it will just give you the icon showing it's thinking. Only closing out of facebook completely (making sure it's not running in the background) and reopening it fixes it. You have to do this for each new notification as well.
What a joke for souch a highly valued company. Facebook on iPhone has consistently been plagued with issues. Each revision fixes one only to replace it with others. It tells me there are issues at the company and I would never invest my money in them.
I too have been surprised at the low quality mobile apps being put out by Facebook.
A billion dollar company should at least be able to release stable software. The iphone app has too many bugs to mention. It is almost impossible to use the iphone app for five minutes without running into bugs. Pictures don't load. Wrong pictures display. News feeds and comments fail to update. Notifications are hopelessly out of sync. Crashes, etc.
Unfortunately, the iPad app doesn't appear to be much better. In fact, it wouldn't even get past the login screen yesterday.
Fingers crossed though. Maybe someday they'll release a stable app. At that point, I'll start bitching about the interface.
