alrighty guys if you could help out an old AI vet with how much he should sell his rig for I would much appreciate it...

it was the top of the line 450 AGP (way way way way way back when)

450Mhz G4

DVD-RAM

Zip 100

27GB HD ATA 7200RPM

768MB PC100 RAM (3x 256)

Rage 128 Pro AGP Grapics card

OS 9.2.2

Additional

2x 18GB 10Krpm Ultra 2 Wide SCCI Seagate Cheetah HD's

Adaptec Single Channel U2W SCSI PCI Card

ixMicro TV Tuner card

(Plus i could list a bunch of installed software, but I hate it when people do that)

As well as a Lacie electron22blue (the I, not the II or III)

I wonder if I would get more for selling the two seperate though... hmmm

if you guys could help me out with some ideas on price and how i should sell it I would really appreciate it...

Hey CD! I thought you droped off the face of the web.

When I sold mine I watched ebay (is that where your selling?) for a week to see what my rig was selling for, and then choose what I thought was a reasonable price.

As for the extras. I would think you could get more selling them seperate, but I'm not sure.

BTW, Nice to see you again.

hey onlooker, yeah i know its been a while huh, i sorta got attached to another message board. became a fullfledged paid admin, and the message board was actually associated with something i have a deeper passion for...

so yeah the point of selling all of this stuff is so i can get a new machine... I have an iBook 500 with DVD/CD-RW that I may get rid of, but im so attached to the little guy but I don't know how essential it is to have... im lusting over an iMac (but i want to get a 933 quicksilver)... so im going to see what I can pull off... i have a friend at apple (who could provide so much info, but his NDA is very important to him i think) who can maybe get me a good discount, gonna see how it goes....

no ebay for me, i know its lame, but i just don't want to sell it there, I think with the certain features of my G4 (like DVD-RAM, the SCSI HD's and the RAM) make a significant difference, personally...

I was hoping I could get near 2K for both the computer and the monitor but I dont know...

CDon!! Welcome back!! Wow. It's been a while. 1998? I remember the days of CDon8100. Hope all is well.

    I just sold my 450 G4. Identical to yours, except with 512MB RAM, a 20g hard drive, OS X, a SCSI card, with a lot of software. I got $1050 for it: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2001466603"; target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2001466603</a>;

Also sold my LaCie Electron Blue 22" for $428, here: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2003378870."; target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2003378870.</a>; She still had a year left in her warranty, but it was not transferrable.

In my experience, the best price you will ever get for anything, your setup included, is on eBay. I suggest doing a search to see what 450 G4s have gone for in the last 6 months or so.

    Best of luck.

if you got 1050, im pretty sure i could get 1500 or more for mine... hmm this is looking more promising then i thought... im going to try to sell it locally then if not ebay..
