When I try to startup classic, I get a message that says:

"You are running Classic without superuser(root) privileges. Ensure that TruBlueEnvironment is setuid and owned by root, or reinstall your Mac OS X System Software."

I do not want to reinstall OS X...I just went through that a week ago! So what the heck is this TrueBlueEnvironment and how do I ensure that it is setuid?!!

Please help

Just a suggestion. Boot OS 9. Look in the System Folder and find three files that start with Classic. Classic, Classic Support and Classic Support UI. Drag these to the trash and start up OS X. (There may be other files involved but trashing these seems sufficient.) Now start up Classic. It will ask you for permission to install some files in OS 9. Say yes. It is possible that the corrupted files exist in OS 9 and not in OS X.

    Hope this helps.
