App Store Accounts

Up until iOS5 the wife and I used the same App Store AccountID. Now that iCloud is up and running on our iPhones and iPads, we have each other's apps on our devices. This produces a lot of clutter.

I will set up separate AppleIDs and passwords going forward, but I was wondering if there was a way to move her apps from the old account ID to her new ones.

Anyone?

The answer is in this forum ... I posted a link yesterday (in another thread on the same topic) that takes you to a support.apple.com page that explains all this.

I'll let you do your own searching to find that post!

You can have separate iCloud mail accounts and still keep your common App store Apple ID.

The only catch is that they have to be separate accounts.

So you & your wife will have an iCloud account each, while your App store account will be the one you have been using all along to get Apps from the App store.

    Hope this helps.
