\tThe Open Firmware Password doo-hikey makes it so you can not start up from a CD , even if you press C. now, i want to know, can you enter your password and do this? Because you can get to the start-up manager by entering your password, and then you could choose your options. right?

I just want to know if this is more of a problem than a help <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" /> <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

Sounds like WAY more of a problem... Just make it so you have to log in when it boots up, and 90% of people won't be able to get to your massive child/necrophiliac/beastiality/snuff pr0n stash.

Of course someone a bit more resourceful could just boot up from a cd to circumvent this, but hey, it's better than not being able to boot from a CD in an emergency.

You might email Apple for clarification on that one, though.
