    Yes.

    How best to do it depends on your cable company's set up.

    It may be a violation of their TOS tho.

    Good info on this sort of thing at DSL reports:

    Visit <a href="http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/"; target="_blank">http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/</a>;

    They have how-to's on this subject and any other internet sharing set up you could want. Easiest way would be to buy a Cable/DSL router and just plug both computers into it. There are other methods though, read the guides.

    Yes,

    I am currently doing just that with a cable/dsl router I bought 2yrs ago from "Dr. Bott"....set both machines to DHCP....and let the router assign IP address'....works like a charm

    I have TimeWarner Cable (interent) on both my Mac and PC. I just called them for a second IP (as I did not want to use a router) for an additional $5 per month. All I had to do was shut down both computers and the cable modem. Hook both computers up to a ($39) Ethernet hub (LynkSys), turn on the PC, turn on the Mac and they both have fast cable connections with a seperate IP for each machine.
