I have a robocam and some lesser known makes.

All are okay with still shots or 30 sec updates at 320x200 as an actual cam they are pretty lousy. Both need extreme light for good indoor shots. Higher resolution and they become unfocused and lousy colouring.

My Canon webcam is the best but thats not saying much.

I love my FireWire iBot camera. However, it has no os X driver that comes with it, you have to buy the IOXperts FW Webcam driver ($15) for it to work in X. Handles hi resolutions well as well as low.

    Mandricard,

I bought a iBot for my new iMac and I just can't get the darn thing to work. It's works on my old OS 9 Tangerine iMac, but not on the new LCD iMac. It's driving me nucking futs! What kind of machine are you using?
