    Mammouth,

This has been a common complaint about the Epson driver. It some cases it appears to relate to the interaction of OS9/X. When I get the error I simply stop the que and restart the que. I suggest that you search the Apple OS X discussion group for the Epson C80. There's plenty of C80 talk there.

Hopefully OS X 10.2 and CUPS printing will resolve this issue. In the meantime I'm not too impressed with Epson's response to the situation, whatever the technical merits of their printer.

I have had this problem for quite a hwil now but using an Epson 870. Personally I think it all depends on where you place your coffee cup on the desktop... By your mouse, printer works... On the other side of the keyboard... it don't work.

I use a hub with a scanner attached and the printer on the hub as well. Perhaps that has something to do with it? (I don't use the scanner at the same time as the printer... that is just asking for trouble.)
