regarding memory upgrade for powerbook g4 question

i am using powerbook g4 500mhz with 512mb of ram. i am thinking of purchasing 512mb upgrade from transintl.com. would increasing 512mb to 768mb make any difference (i am using os x) performance wise? also, there are two memory dimms installed on this computer. one is pc100-322s (came with the computer) and the other is pc100-222s (installed from clubmac). i read it somewhere that pc100-222 is faster and somewhere that pc100-322 is faster... i am not a computer expert and thank you in advance for any suggestions, information, etc. have a great day!
