I have an old PowerMac 8100.

I started it up for the first time in about 2 years and when it was almost done it stoped. It would'nt present the desktop. I started it up without any extensions and it said that the (ApearanceLib) was missing. I cant start up from cd because it does not have a cd rom in it. I cant afford one. Is there anyother way to start up in a type (safe mode) to reinstall the Library??

Not really. If you cover shipping I can send you a SCSI internal CD drive for that system. I have like three sitting in the closet...

Wouldn't it be possible to boot the 8100 on a floppy with 7.1.2 or greater?

Also you could use an external SCSI drive...
