Sorry, I've been away a while.

What's coming and when? What's the "state of the rumor" regarding G5's and Apollos and whatnot? Any iThis or iThat coming? What's going on?

Apollo is already out, in the new powermacs, it's just been renamed the 7455 rather than the 7460.

There is an embedded version of the G5 listed on Moto's site. And they are plannning on introducing your iChiaPet. Open it and watch it grow and slowly consume your desktop like some weird fungus (designed to replicate an alga bloom )

quadrant rumors are pretty much lacking in number, and/or believability, becuase some talking head at Apple's marketing dept (Jozwiak i think his name was) gave an interview and said there'll be no new "cpu's" (ambiguous in the article) for a while. And he remarked that Apple just updated ea. of the quadrants, and wouldn't do so again for a few months (putting it past tokyo). I haven't seen any reasonable proof of any specific dig hub spoke, but I think that is the most likely next hdwr development. Maybe a big'r hd drive in the 'Pod.

Oh, and earlier this week Microsoft blew up.

Nothing new since MWSF and the PM updates in January. The great debate for a while was the Apollo G4 (it's not out! yes it is!). All the rumors have died (no Dorsal posts). Apple killed all the fun with the "NO NEW HARDWARE" statements a few weeks ago. Hopefully they will ramp up again after MW Tokyo and before WWDC in May.

Steve Jobs has 6 of the 7 dragon balls. When he gets all 7, he is going to wish Motorola to come out with the G5 in MWNY at 3 GHZ.

Actually Moto got alot more DragonBalls than Steve hell they even make some themselves, Moto has been using Their DragonBalls to wish Steve doesnt get all 7 DragonBalls since 1998. In order to stop steve from getting all 7 DragonBalls Moto designed a new DragonBall, they call it the DragonBall Super VZ, with this they can make 2 wishes. I hear rumors that they made wishes like "I wish Steve loses all his balls" and "I wish I can have a Whopper (or is it whopping)"

Anyways as usual there won't be anything new things in MWNY, there might be some teaser announcement though.

On the universal time scale, the G6 is right around the corner...but secret moles from the NSA claim that MOT will cease to exist sometime after that, rendering the G7 irrelevant (like all G7's, if you take my meaning).

Sorry to break it to you, but macrumordom is dead. Don't know whether to blame Steve or ourselves, but its over. I mean, this close to a keynote and look at this place.

It's true. There are no solid rumors anymore. I think this is one of the reasons Apple's sales on PM's are way down. People don't know when to expect a revision, so they're waiting for word from Apple. I know I am.

Since Apple only makes formal announcements a few times a year, they have become dangerously dependent on fast channel fullfillment to sell as many units as possible as soon after an announcement as possible. Now look at the iMac.. they really dropped the ball and now I'd wait until the next revision to buy.

same for PB, this is my computer of choice, but no way I'm going to buy the one that's out now, not this late in their historical revision schedule. Plus I want a 1600x1024 screen.

Mac rumors are out there, AppleInsider just stopped printing them. They are slower than they used to be though.
