Can I drop a Super drive into any G4?

Hiya, got the chance to grab a G4/466 (Digital Audio) from a friend at a ridiculous (cheep) price because the CDR/W drive is busted (broken laser!), it's out of warranty and he wants a new 800Mhz TiBook. But before I do, can I buy one of the new Pioneer DVR-406 (or whatever the superdrive is) and just stick it in? Do I need to "Flash" it or something? Cos I've already got a Lacie Firewire 32x CDR/W and dont need another one.....Anyone know...? Please..
