LCD iMac lockups using firewire
On my lcd imac (superdrive model), I've experienced a number of problems using firewire drives. Basically, during heavy read/write, the drive stops responding to the system. In some cases, pulling the drive and plugging it back in fixes things (unfreezes finder at least), in others a reboot is required.
I've tried with two drives in Oxford 911 equipped enclosures, multiple cables, both ports on the imac. Always in OS X.
Anyone have ideas on fixing this?
