Replacing IDE Hardrive in iMac

Is it possible to replace a hardrive in an iMac with a new one? What I've got is an older iMac G3 400 slot-loading (non-dvd) model. I wanted to replace the internal 10G with an IBM 40G 7200rpm ATA 133. Just wondering if the ATA 133 bus speed is an issue and if the IDE connection is the same? Or if it isn't is it compatible or is there anyway to connect it, or if there's anything special I might have to do? Cheers Alex!
