New iBook Loud, Quiet, or ...?

Can anyone say anything about the loud or the soft of the 700 iBook?s hard drive, etc. (compared to the TiBook?s, for example)? I?m a pretty long ride from civilization and I haven?t listened to any 700-s yet (not easy). The quiet of my cube means a lot to me; the TiBook is a little loud for my taste, even with the fan off. I?m on the verge of pushing the button and having a 14? combo arrive in the mail - just thought I?d see if anyone had any personal experience along these lines to share. I appreciate it.

    I don't have the 14" model, but my 12" model runs quiet as can be. Every once in a while i'll hear it spin back up, but thats rare even. 99% of the time I can't tell the difference of when it's asleep vs. powered up. The only reports i've heard otherwise was a post about someone's drive was knocking in thier iBook 700, but they had a bad drive and it was replaced. Hope this helps. Let us know if you order it!

    very quiet, can hear it accessing the disk every now and then but its unnoticeable unless you specifically listen for it.
