2 ISPs - 1 AirPort Base Station

I'm using two different ISPs (one provides free calls in the evenings and weekends) and I have to keep changing my AirPort Base Station dial-up numbers etc. in the AirPort Admin Utility.

Is there any way of setting up two ISPs with one Base Station and choosing which to connect with similar to the Locations menu.

I'm using OS X 10.1.5 and 56k Modem.

Thanks,

J

I'm not sure it's the best solution, but you should be able to farily easily create your own automatic reconfigurators, if you're handy with AppleScript and HTML (Airport does use a HTML admin page, doesn't it? Try typing it's IP into the browser. I use an SMC router, I'm just assuming it's close to the same.) What you'll need to do is set up an AppleScript with a scheduler such as iDo (for 9, I don't know if it's carbonized, but you could always put the script in the dock if it's not). If you analyze the source on the config pages, you'll most likely be dealing with a form. If the people at Apple did it right, you should just have to instruct IE to go to one URL and then quit. That should be enough to change your connection.

I don't know how handy you are with HTML. If you can find a friend with some moderate experience, or if you wanted to do some research at <a href="http://www.w3.org,"; target="_blank">http://www.w3.org,</a>; it should be a fairly simple thing to work up. If you'll send to source of the page you use to change your connection twice a day to [email protected], I'll take a look at it and see what I can do. School's out for the summer, and I've got some free time . Also, let me know what times you switch over. I can make the AppleScript time-aware, so that you'll only need one script.
