1152x864 - Cannot run at this resolution and i want to!

I have the last CRT apple studio display (clear) and under OS X i cannot set the resolution to 1152x864 (i think those numbers are right), but i can set it to 1280x1024 and 1600x1200. I can also do 1024x768 and some weird size with a few more pixels (10something x 8something)

    First, go to system prefrences and go to the displays pane. When you get there look to see if "Show modes recommended by display" is checked, if it is, uncheck it and the other resoultions should be opened.

    no dice...it just made 640x480 accessable. grr!
