Mac OS 8.0 to OS 9.0

Is there a shortcut for going from OS 8.0 to OS 9.0 without having to install 8.1, then 8.5, then 8.6, etc.? I'm currently using a PowerMac 6500 and I want to install a USB card but it requires at least OS 8.6.

    You should be able to without any problems. I updated directly from 8.1 to 9.0.4 with no in between steps. Unless you have a CD that has 9.2 on it though (assuming you want to update that high), you will have to install the 9.1 update if you wish to go from 9.0.4 to 9.2.



    Unless something has changed, that is.
