how does everybody make the snappy quotes

Many people seem to quote in such a way that it reads "Originally posted by blahblah" and then the body of the text is bolded. I can't help but think that all these people are doing something to get the phrase "Originally posted by blahblah" without typing it in inbetween the UBB code quotes . . .

am I missing something? how is it done? or does everybody wpend al that time typing the same phrase so neatly?

Or, if for some reason you want to do it by hand, the code is:

    [.QUOTE][.QB]text here[./QB][./QUOTE]

    Just take out the periods.
