iDVD genius needed

Okay I burned a DVD - seemingly successfully. But when I bring up DVD player I don't get any sound and the video is this tiny thing in the middle of the screen. And the video looks choppy. I encoded it for Region Code 1 since that was the default, but I have no idea what it means. I'm using the latest versions of iMovie and iDVD.



Anyone offer any ideas? Thanks.

    I wasn't aware iDVD had region specific encoding?



    Can you better outline the entire process, from iMovie to iDVD?
