I'd really like to have an icon link for AppleInsider, but don't know or have the means to do one. Would any of you have the kindness in your heart to make me one?

The idea and way to make them are towards the bottom of the page. It gives a tutorial on how to make them. It would be nice to add a nice Looking AppleInsider to my toolbar of IE <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

Hey thanks ...hehe i just wish the Appleinsider one was a tad smaller. I had to use the "A" and it doesn't look as good, but i still like the fast link in my toolbar.

    Thanks alot

I changed the A icon. Now it is an animated icon with the AI circles.

Very cool...thanks. I'm not sure how many use the buttons, but i think they improve IE to the point as far as interface goes. That I forget it's IE

    I receive about 270-300 visitors a day.

Maybe over 2000 people are using my icons right now.

My IE doesn't have anything related to Microsoft, I had replaced the icons, the animated explorer icon (and the link related), the integrated search functions (my explorer searchs Google instead MSN), and the links in the Tools menu (Now, Apple related).

I like IE, and I like hack it much more

Well i think what you did is outstanding work, and i'm glad that others do too. It may not be something everyone wants to do, but i for one like it alot. It made it so i could stop showing my favs bar...i know it's only mb a 1/2 of screen, but your buttons also look 100% better than an @whatever link in a favorites bar.

    Thanks

Is it possible to customize the toolbar graphics in OmniWeb? It's a nice looking browser and overall very good, but some custom buttons that were more "aqua-ized" would be cool.

    Of course you can.

Open the Omniweb package (control+click the Omni icon).

    Go to Contents/Resources/ folder

You will find a lot of tiff files.

Just find the icon you want to change and edit the tiff file with your favorite graphic app.

Thanks a lot! I didn't notice them when I first looked since they were way at the bottom, but I got them and they're great!

Hey Macdoc could i ask you for one more toolbar icon? I tried to get one of the guys on the forum for this site to do it, but none of them are up for the challenge.

I've been going to their forum for like 4 years now, since the early days of Myth and Myth2. Most are Mac users and overall, a bunch of great guys It tends to be my other main refuge for posting my smart-ass remarks.

I guess since we all have know each other for so long, we tend to give each other more uhhh crap than on here. it would complete my toolbar links if you could find it in your heart.

The 37 would make a nice toolbar icon

If you can't ..no big deal since, it's really only for me anyways.

    Not too difficult!

Download the icon to your HD and follow the tutotial instructions for making it active.

Or try to drag & drop this one:

    <a href="http://www.the37.com/flash/index.html"; target="_blank"></a>

Sorry for the pixelation, I cann't do it better, the original logo is too small...
