Trying to get hired at Apple

I am looking for work, I've been out of work since November. I just applied at Jobs.Apple.Com but all they have in my area are sales positions at the Apple Store. In case I get interviewed, does anyone have any interviewing tips that could help me? Thanks.

My advice? Make sure you claim no association with "EmAn". Otherwise they'll say your too young.

Monster.com has some good interview advice but obviously it's not Apple specific advice.

Get a book on job interviews. Seriously, there are some good ones. It's an art form.

You shouldn't wear a suit, but you shouldn't wear jeans either. A decent pair of slacks and a polo shirt or something. Pretty straightforward stuff... I don't think job interviews at Apple are much different than any other corporation these days...

OMG! (lol) I forgot not everyone reads everything. Sorry for my presumption. EmAn is a notorious poster (really a nice guy) and wanted a job at an Apple Store but they wouldn't hire him because he was 'too young'. In any case, he might be a tad sensitive about that so I was just poking a joke at him.

Cable, be gung-ho about Apple. I mean rally enthusiastic - but not psycho-enthusiastic. Apple appreciates individualty and honesty. Be straight with them. For my interview, i wore khaki pants, an orange polo shirt and leather sandals. Just the right touch of casualness. The best thing you can do is ask a lot of questions anbout your interviewers. Show them you are interested in them. Show them how you can speak well with people, like when you'll speak with customers.

Oh, and be prepared to talk about how to use UNIX, cron and the Terminal app.... ha ha, just kidding.
