I'm at work and using a Dull running Windoze NT 4 with IE6 and I'm trying to download the MWNY keynote using <a href="http://www.macwrite.com/forums/showthread.php?s=0ed38090139f703bf7171cf5db716070&; threadid=361" target="_blank">these links</a> kindly provided by Mac Write.

The thing is, when I try to download the files they only get to about 30% and then IE proceeds to copy the partly-downloaded file to the desktop (my specified downloads folder).

What's going on??! Could this be a firewall restriction??

Thanks in advance!

    I don't think it's a firewall restriction. more likely something with IE6. i'm not sure what exactly, but why don't you try a <a href="http://www.getright.com/get.html"; target="_blank">Download Manager</a> ?

i'd say if IE6 is giving you trouble, try something like Opera.

if you find the same thing is happening with another broswer, then it's probably not the broswer, but something more complex.

if it works then you're done.

probably the easiest solution. (and less intrusive than a download manager)

We're not supposed to install software on our staff PCs so the download manager isn't really an option <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

I'm now downloading it through Netscape and it seems to be doing ok.

    Thanks guys
