PowerMac - anybody find a better price?

I am not looking for the latest and greatest but this looks like a sweet deal. I've tried Shopper.com, dealmac and many other eTailers but this is the best i have found in the low priced g4 category.

Doesn't that refer to the price of the computer after the rebate for buying a monitor? Those prices are $300 less for the 800, $400 less for the 933, and $500 less for the 1000. That's the same amount of discount you get for buying a monitor at the same time.

As noted by Luca already, those prices reflect a rebate which is only applied when you buy an Apple LCD screen at the same time. If you're looking for a good price on a G4, your best bet is to buy one used (ie eBay). There's very little margin to be made on new equipment (except for Apple), which is why everyone is priced about the same. I would recommend dealing with a local Apple authorized dealer. You'll get much better service and support than you do from an online retailer.

Sorry for not getting back to you all. I just got back from a mini vacation and am a tad more rested.



Yes, you were all correct in the display issue. I got displays up the ying yang here and some older vid cards so the LCD is not in my purchasing future.



Oh well. off to deal mac , shopper.com et al. to check for some good deals. I will be checking out the Apple Store in North NJ ....



Itchng to buy right now but am on post vacation high.
