I have an iBook 500Mhz with 66Mhz bus and an 8MB Mobile Radeon. Do you think the performance of my computer will be faster with Jaguar?

There will be some performance increases, but I don't think you are able to take advantage of Quartz Extreme.

    Faster than what? 10.1? Definitely.

There's nothing in Jaguar that makes it any slower than 10.1. Even if you can't take advantage of the boost from Quartz Extreme, there are plenty of other speed improvements from further optimized code and the new gcc compiler.

From what I've seen OS X runs slower on a G3 than on a G4, compared to looking at the difference of OS 9 on G3 and G4. But as said, 10.2 will bring noticable differences over 10.1.x.
