Creating .img file from CD

Hey everyone...



How do I create a disk image from a CD that is in my computer under Mac OS X.

    In diskcopy, under image, select new image from device. I'm pretty sure that's the most of it.

    FYI: Disk copy is located:



    Hardrive > Applications > Utilities

    Thanks, but I'm not sure which device to choose? There are a couple to choose from.



    Under Mac OS 9, all you have to do is drag the CD on to DiskCopy, what's the deal?

    select the second one down--its your cd drive-



    or take out the cd and see which one disappears.

    He Surf Rat, its easy as pie, I put the following tutorial together because Its a long boring Sunday.



    1. Open Disk Copy



    2. Select "create new image from device"



    3. Select your CD rom drive, look for the one that says "CD_ROM_MODE ..."



    4. Click "Image"



    5. Name it clearly and select the file desitination



    6. Click Image again...



    7. Wait while the magic happens..



    8. Tada! I have pics for each step, if you want, i'll e-mail them to ya.
