Help, Help, I'm stuck in 1969!
Yesterday it was good 'ol 2002, however, upon waking up, my Mac has travelled back in time. My Mac always kept perfect time and I have no reason to doubt it's not 1969. I surmise that the battery died, without the battery keeping the flux time circuitry in line, it has travelled backward in time to a set date. Also, my internet connection must be going through a temporal router, which allows me to talk to the future.
Now I must venture out and purchase a new battery to allow me to return to the future, but where, o where?

I had that problem with my Dual 500 for the longest time - it is (was?) a known problem with Duals at one point in X.
The recommended solution (this was over a year ago) was to sync to a network time server - I happen to be on DSL so I did that and it solved my problems.
I would hope that they resolved the issue at some point after I started using the time server - but I have just left it set up like that from that time forward...
If you are using X I would recommend looking through the KBase articles (if you can find anything of any value - I don't find the system very helpful).
Hope that helps...
actually, more than one bug generates this symptom.
some ibooks had a wacom driver conflict which would reset their clocks... more info on which model, which os version, and any miscellaneous extras would help troubleshoot both at <a href="http://kbase.info.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/kbase.woa/wa/query?val=clock+resets&nodes=&type=smartSearch&dat eModified=&geography=" target="_blank">apple's tech info library</a> and here

We use NTP and still get the problem.
Just change the date/time and wait for the bug fix or 10.2 whichever comes first (except that 10.2 costs).
