iBook 14 display mirroring.. no luck
I've tried everything and I can't get my iBook 600 to output to an external display. I'm wondering if it's the monitor, or the adapter?
I have an NEC Multisync FE950+ (19") - it will not come out of standby when I hook it to the iBook's display adapter. Montior works fine with any other machine...
Is it possible the video card cannot handle driving a 19" display? (an Apple employee at MacWorld NY stated that as his opinion).
It will drop down to 1024x768 in WinXP so I know it supports the resolution.
Any thoughts? Bad display adapter cable? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

then plug in the external display.
then turn the iBook back on.
it should work. if not, then you've got something else wrong.
if you hook up an external display that wasn't attached while booting it won't work though.
So.... how in the heck can I get my 19" to work...am I SOL? <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

That's not true. If you put the iBook to sleep and plg in the monitor it'll work also.

is it a funky brand or something.
i've had my iBook hooked up to almost everything under the sun and never had a problem.

Yeah, they are. My NEC LCD works fine with my iBook.
