Adding new alert sounds?

How can I add sounds to those in the sys. prefs? I try to add, but you are not allowed to modify "sounds."



Any thoughts?

    you could have a look at <a href="http://www.macchampion.com:16080/arbysoft/"; target="_blank">Batchmod</a> which is a app for modifying privileges.

    just drop the sound file into your.....

    user/yourusername/library/sounds and it will be available to you, no need for root.
