entourage/multiple identities/inbox issue

i can't figure out how to route incoming email into seperate identities without having each mail go into each inbox for each identity.



is this even possible?



example:



husband and wife have 2 different addresses, but husband's mail goes into both identities inbox (wife's identity created 1st) but wife's incoming mail only goes to her inbox. not cheating, just frustrated that i can't figure it out.....



help!

    Tools:Accounts



    from there check and see which account is fetching what.



    that would be where the problem would be if something weren't just screwed up.

    yeah....everything seems to be in order there. i seem to remember the same thing happening in outlook when i was a windows user.



    i mean, it IS possible to do this, right? ithat's the point of different identities.....

    yes, not only possible but i'm doing it. i have no idea what else would be the culprit. if you're on OS 9 try trashing the prefs. file, see if that takes care of it. otherwise, try to set the main acct. to be a dummy account.



    see what happens then.
