Screw the G5, the real issue is the bus speed
You people don't get out much do you? All you can think of is the G5, will it do this? Who will make it? Will it come out this year? None of that matters. The fact is apple is still running shitty system busses. Back in the day (and I mean really back in the day) processors and bus speed were the same (8 mHz was with another 8 mHz). Now busses are around 133, and processors are up to 1000. Plus, the G4 already kicks the ass of any wintel box, so why not make it faster without the steep price gain from a whole new processor line? Any input on this topic is a good one. But I think we'll all just have to wait for macworld to know for sure.
