iPhoto unexpectedly quits

Everytime I import pictures from my digital camera, the pictures that I imported do not show up in the window when I relaunch the app. Also, when I try to import pictures using the command in the File menu, iPhoto always crashes. Is there a fix? I'm using the latest version 1.1.1.

I don't use iPhoto, but I also have problems. It may be the camera drivers, as in my case. I use a Canon EOS D-60, and the best way to get photos on my computer is to boot up with a compact flash/microdrive in the PCMCIA slot of my laptop. If your computer is a desktop, you may try to buy a 3rd party compact flash/memory stick/whatever reader. Don't know if it will work, but stay away from camera drivers.

PS: Other than that problem, the D-60 is an awesome camera. x3

While this is about a piece of software, it is more importantly a technical support question. As such, I am moving it to the Genius Bar.

backup your photo's, delete iPhoto, reboot, and install again.

I had this problem with iPhoto last night. Problems with photos showing up, etc, and it crashed on me for the first time ever.

I reformatted the memory card in the camera (luckily it was only for a few shots that I had just taken), tried it again, and all is well.

Worked in my case, anyway... might be worth a shot?

It may help to add the camera you are using to your post. Maby we could spot a pattern.
