Jaguar, clean install + Privileges

I wanted to do a clean install of Jaguar, by wiping my hard drive. What I was going to do was create a partition and move my files there and then move them back when I install Jag on the other partition, but anyways-------My real question is if I do a clean install will I still be the "owner" of the document. That is a problem I have now because I can't use cd tracks in imovie that where ripped by my brother under his user name. Will this stuff happen when I install Jaguar, or is there some way around it

I don't know it for sure, but when privileges go over board, you can use two apps:



first: try <a href="http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106900"; target="_blank">Repair Privileges Utility</a> from Apple



second: use <a href="http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/batchmod.html"; target="_blank">Batchmod</a> for repairing privileges. | ATTENTION: this can be dangerous | I've warned you...
