iBook trackpad sticks

iBook(original white dual usb)trackpad keeps sticking/going really jerky-close the lid until it goes to sleep open it again it's fine but it's kinda bugging-any idea why it's doing this? I'm running OS X and it's been doing this through all versions.



p.s. my hands are not dirty!!

    Have you tried a clean installation of OS X?

    If that doesn't solve it, I suggest you take it to your dealer. You'll have to live without your iBook for a while, but your situation seems unworkable as it is anyway.
