Wireless networking question
I just got an email from my college saying they're offering a free wireless networking card to anyone with a laptop computer. I have a Wallstreet, which is pre-Airport, so I'll have to get a wireless PC card instead. What models of these are available, how much do they cost, and do they work in OS 9 and OS X?
Another semi-related question WRT PC card slots - I think the top card slot on my laptop is broken, because I can put my FireWire card in it and it will see it, but it won't lock it in place. I have to hold it really tightly. Is there any way to fix this, and if so, how much would it cost? (or could I do it myself?) It would be nice to have both FireWire and wireless networking at the same time, but it's not absolutely necessary.
