wireless printing from ibook??

I will have an ibook and an apple desktop, both with airport cards. I was also thinking of getting the basestation, until I read in one of these threads that there are other wireless hubs that are somehow better...

What's the easiest way to do wireless printing from the ibook with the above setup? Do I need a printer with ethernet cable connected to basestation, or can I connect via USB to one of the computers and print from the other? <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

If you are using OS9.X, you should be able to print through the desktop using USB printer sharing. I am not sure if this has yet been inplimented in OSX. No doubt an ethernet printer is a simpler way to go, but also a more expensive one.

USB print sharing is in 10.2, but not the earlier OS X releases.

does that mean with 10.2 I can wirelessly share a printer connected to the desktop with a laptop? Do I need the basestation or will the two airport cards suffice?
