1) Is there sales tax on purchases made at the Online AppleStore?



2) What are the shipping charges?

    This is America! Of course there's tax, based on the state where you are receiving the goods... The shipping depends on how fast you want it. All outlined quite nicely on the Applestore web site.

    The online Apple Store charges the sales tax of the state where you live. So if you order from, say, Boston, they'll charge you Massachusettes state sales tax right on their web interface. You're always supposed to pay state sales tax, but lots of mail order places leave it up to you to do it yourself later.



    Also, the online Apple store charges for all shipping methods except for UPS ground which is free and slowest.
