Can I restrict access to my external FW HD through a password?

I'm not sure if you can password protect a volume in OS 10.1. Perhaps in Jaguar?
I do know you can restrict access to volumes by changing their permissions. Try the following:
Select the desired volume.
Get info.
Select permissions from the pull down menu. (Note this menu is replaced by a series of tabs in Jaguar)
Set the permission fields under "group" and "everyone" to ÒnoneÓ.
This will restrict access to drive, so only the admin or owner view it.
